Cricket News sort by Australia tour of India 2013 - 14

The India-Australia series, which is all set to get underway, will mark the comeback of Yuvraj Singh, who has fought his way into the squad on the back of some excellent performances in domestic and ‘A’ cricket.

The one T20 and seven match ODI series starting on Thursday will be a massive test for the Aussies for more than one reason. They have had a torrid time in most formats of late and haven’t enjoyed their stay in India over the last few visits.

Unlike some of our ex-Indian greats, who prefer to remain silent in spite of the obvious wrongdoings in Indian cricket, Ian Chappell is one Aussie legend who doesn’t mince any words when it comes to giving his views on Australian cricket.

Skipper Michael Clarke has been ruled out of the India Tour with a back injury. Clarke, who has a history of back problems, had it resurfacing during the ODI Series in England.

The Indian team for the sole T20 and first three ODIs has been selected. The biggest news from that is obviously the return of veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. The southpaw’s selection was pretty much on expected lines after his great performances on the domestic circuit in recent times.

Yuvraj Singh has forced his way back in the Indian team following a strong show in the recent times against West Indies A and in the Challenger Trophy. The southpaw has made it to the 15-man squad which has been selected for the Only T20I and the first three ODIs of the Australia Series in October.

IND vs AUS ODI Series in Oct 2013 Schedule: Australia will tour India to play seven ODIs and a Twenty20 International in October and November 2013.
